HaulStatus

Privacy policy

Last updated October 22, 2026

HaulStatus is operated by 15209501 Canada Inc. ("HaulStatus", "we"), Woodbridge, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information HaulStatus handles when freight carriers use it to track shipments, and how. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Our role

Carriers are our customers. When a carrier uses HaulStatus, the carrier decides which shipments and contacts to enter, and HaulStatus processes that information on the carrier's behalf to deliver the service. Questions about a specific shipment are best directed to the carrier; questions about HaulStatus itself can come to us.

What we collect

Recipients of tracking links do not need an account, and we do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers on tracking pages.

Why we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Mobile numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who we share it with

Where it is stored

HaulStatus data is stored in Canada. Text messages pass through Twilio's network, which may route messages outside Canada to reach the recipient's mobile carrier.

How long we keep it

Shipment records and proof of delivery are kept for seven years, which matches common freight-claim and business record requirements, and are then deleted. Shipment records are write-once by design: they can be corrected by adding a new entry, but not edited or removed during that period. Carrier staff accounts are disabled when the carrier removes them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Tracking links use long, unguessable tokens. Each shipment's events are chained together with cryptographic hashes so that any later change is detectable, and proof-of-delivery files are stored in write-once storage.
